Role Overview
The role is part of the Envista Prague Finance organization and is vital in ensuring employees in the EMEA region are paid accurately and on time every single month. The controller manages the end-to-end payroll process and connects all stakeholders in order to build and maintain an efficient payroll workflow.
Job responsibilities
* Play a key role in the preparation and processing of payroll for France (part of EMEA payroll team)
* Owner of the payroll process, which represents especially gathering and understanding payroll inputs, cooperation with the payroll service provider(s), ensuring quality of payroll outputs and administration of payroll payments.
* Monitor payroll service providers – ensure all established deadlines for payroll are met or exceeded.
* Apply quality control and auditing measures during payroll processing to minimize errors and ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Validation and reconciliation of post payroll output.
* Coordinate efforts between Payroll, Human Resources and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
* Ensure payments to employees are submitted and approved on time.
* Respond to payroll related queries from managers and employees.
* Assist accountants with payroll account reconciliations and journal entries.
* Primary point of contact for internal and external audit.
* Creation and maintenance of the SOPs and Work Instructions.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of hands-on experience in French Payroll
* French language on professional business level
* Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Sig Sigma) is a plus
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Proactive and open to changes
